Oh, look at the time!

1st Class for Asaph’s Journal is complete. The time went by too quickly for both us and the students…at least that’s what they said to our faces. LOL

Upon the term coming to an end, we asked the students, what is something we should change for next time? The general consensus was to make the school longer. We strongly felt the same. We know our next term will most likely be 4 months in duration, for the following reasons:
1. Time for being able to do Outreaches with local pastors,
2. More time for class discussion and explanation (this is an uncommon learning style, coupled with entirely new concepts to Thailand in general), and
3. Mentoring / Discipleship
The books we had translated (Prophetic Worship by Kay Crawford and Exploring the Prophetic 90 day prayer journal by Shawn Bolz), are the first, to our knowledge, speaking on worship and prophecy together. The students really enjoyed them, and will likely contact us for further explanation in the coming days, on things we did not get to cover in class, due to timing. (There is much more that can be discussed if you’d like to reach out to us through messenger or email. We’ll gladly tell most all of it.)
The highlights I would choose, would most likely be different than what the students or even the other teacher would say. For me, the highlights would be seeing the students, step out of their comfort zones in either singing, playing, praying, or speaking. Being able to see their confidence grow, you could see God working in and through them. Even up until graduation, you could see some having to make life choices that were new to them. The students graduated realizing the importance and power that prayer and worship can have on situations and everyday life.
As the end of this year approaches, many questions are left for us… 1) When/if we come back to the States sometime soon (keep in mind the expense and difficulty navigating international travel during this season)? 2) If so, what do we need to do while there? (Other than visit family, friends, and ministries that have supported us while here.) 3) If not, when do we start our next school term with the momentum we have behind it right now? - These are just a few questions we’re praying about, as we seek clear direction on what is next. Join with us in prayer, as we don’t want to assume anything. He has a plan and knows what is to come.

Until then, we will be celebrating Christmas with the rest of the children, staff, volunteers, alumni and residents here at Faith Village before taking a week off to rest.
We want to be sure to wish you a very Merry Christmas, full of family, fun, friends, laughter, memories and a whole lot of Jesus to take you into the new year.
~Misty
