The road back home to Thailand, is approaching rapidly for Timothy and I. We have our visas and plane tickets purchased, bags mostly packed, and odds and ends to sort out…GOD IS AWESOME!!! Misty was able to make it back safely, and get some things started, while also working out the details of her work permit.
While being in the States we’ve been able to relax a little, see beautiful sites through many states, visit family, reconnect with friends, make new friends, and worship God with many wonderful people. Even though we weren’t entirely pleased to come back, God knew what we needed and has provided every step of the way. A few things He has provided along the way are: finances, vehicle maintenance, listening ears, truth speaking friends and family, and a better realization that we are doing what He has called us to do.
Some thoughts I typed up while Misty drove us from Billings, Montana to Sandpoint, Idaho:
Q: Who did Jesus always point to?
A: the Father
As a “leader”, if I’m not pointing you to look up to the Father, I’m failing. The interesting thing about mountains is they keep you looking UP!
John 4:23-24 (The Message)
“It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before Him in their worship. God is sheer being itself – Spirit. Those who worship Him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”
Misty and I not only seek to do this, but teach others how to do this both individually and corporately! As we draw near to time to leave, we ask you to join with us in prayer that God will open the hearts of our soon to be students over the next school term. (More info on the school term @ www.asaphsjournalschool.com )
We are ever so grateful, for family, friends, church families, and ministries that have supported us. Whether it be through finances, prayers, ears to listen, shoulders to cry on, and laughs to keep us going. We are truly rich for having you in our lives. Thank You so much for believing and trusting God with us and for us!

I've been back in Thailand two weeks so far. I've made three trips to Immigration, two to the hospital, one to the bank and another visit to the municipal offices for my sit-down interview regarding my one year visa renewal. Now we wait (and pray) for formal approval to visit immigration for the stamp that allows us to stay and get to work.
Meanwhile, I've met with the printing company and paid the deposit to print 'A Tale of Three Kings' that we had translated over the summer. I have the house mostly unpacked and got to lead worship with the lovely Ms. Poppy in the city this last weekend.
This week I'll be working on the school calendar for the next term, and touring the new proposed site for Asaph's Journal to make a list of work that needs done so we can get estimates to start getting the building ready for students!
Thank you to those who gave toward the visa and tickets and the translation projects. With your help, we are getting things done as quickly as possible! Here's a snippet of our worship time last week.
He is our greatest adventure!
-Misty
